The great thing about the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is that you really can't go wrong with any look to fill up the space. So when Leanne and Adam first reached out to us to do their florals (& showed us their RAD color palette inspiration), we immediately thought, "Oh, Heck Yeah" and started brainstorming a huge list of possibilities. How can we liven up the place without taking away the already established ambiance there?
Hanging install? Check. Really eye-catching palette? Check. Cohesive with the Ace Hotel/Palm Springs in general? Yup, check. We LOVED working on these centerpieces in the studio because we've never done something so complementary before. We even specifically remember Leanne saying her look was "a little hard to describe", which we agree. There isn't really a "theme" or "vibe" or specific word that would describe/culminate this look. She said she wanted a darker palette but also add some pops of bright blooms mixed in - like corals, reds, yellows. So we said, "Ok, let's do this." We've never turned down a challenge before so we buckled down and tried to find the balance between the light and dark tones. You can't have one without the other with this look, like ying and yang, you know?
So is this look boho? Nah. Is it moody? Maybe a tiny bit but not too much. Is it a bright and romantic feel? Er, kinda? Is it desert-vibe? Ehh... Not so much. But we're totally fine with that! So we just categorize this look under "a little of this, a little of that", like MANY of our other events we've done in the past. ;) Anyways, we know we love it, we know Leanne and Adam loved it, we know all the guests and any passerby loved it, so we're patting ourselves on the back for a job well done in finding the balance.
